New Destination Mexican Restaurant Coming To Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Esperanza Cocina de la Playa, the South Bay’s newest dining destination, will open its doors in Manhattan Beach on July 29.

From the talented team behind Palmilla, Esperanza is a vibrant and festive restaurant and bar that serves creative interpretations of homestyle Sonoran cuisine.

“This is an especially exciting opening for Manhattan Beach because the community deserves a hip, fine-dining Mexican restaurant,” Chef Ray Alvarez told Patch. “Esperanza will stand out not only because of our Mexican recipes rooted in tradition, but we will have the freshest selection the seven seas has to offer in a vibrant atmosphere not yet seen in the South Bay.”

With a focus on fresh seafood, and inspired by Baja California Sur, menu highlights include five different Ceviche dishes, Prawns Pacifico con Salsa, and Relleno de Langosta y Camaron.

Esperanza’s dynamic bar program features a playful cocktail program, as well as the largest tequila and mezcal list in the South Bay.

Designed by the award-winning team at Gulla Jonsdottir Architecture & Design, Esperanza’s striking façade and interiors are inspired by Cabo San Lucas’ beautiful coast and Mexico City’s vibrant cosmopolitan neighborhoods.

Esperanza is located at 309 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
